Nov. 2019 – Starting off a busy couple of months with Prague…

Only about 2 months since the stop, I’ve finally finished editing the photos… I think I’ve also fixed the continuing issue with viewing them on mobile devices; please let me know if you run into this issue though. Since I won’t be posting most of these to my social media pages I really want to make sure it’s working; I figure most people will be viewing on phones and tablets, so it’s important.

Prague is such a beautiful city… it does irk me though that quite a few places actually charge over $2 (50czk) for a small bottle of water. I guess the fact you can get a beer (even in bars and restaurants) for just over $2.50 (60czk) kind of makes up for it though. In most of eastern Europe particularly, the beer is really great; it’s very good and very inexpensive! The eastern part of Europe is also extremely rich in history, beautiful architecture, and great food! Well, that’s really just how I feel about Europe as a whole…

The architecture in Prague is particularly stunning though! The Czech Republic has seen many influences over the years (unfortunately not all by choice), but luckily many of Prague’s gorgeous buildings have lasted through the tough wars seen throughout Europe; unlike some other places. While I was there they had exhibitions around the city commemorating the revolutions of 1989 and the fall of communism which I understand had a very big effect on the Czech Republic. I’m certainly no historian and don’t know many specifics, but the photos posted in the exhibits were very moving and enlightening. I wish I had been there for the actual day of the commemoration, it must have been quite a sight.

There is so much to do and see in Prague that it’s no wonder it has become such a popular tourist destination. I think it’s definitely one of the must-see cities in Europe! Nevermind the fact they have great architecture, renown arts (opera, museums, etc.); if you like beer and comfort food this should be way up there on your list of places to go!

This was my first stop since leaving Sicily and the comforts of a base for my things. Luckily I have a great friend out this way that’s letting me stash some things, but I’ll definitely miss a place to call home; returning to unwind and regroup a little… finding one of those at some point this year definitely is on my mind…

If you have a favorite restaurant, site, or story from Prague, or elsewhere, drop a line in the comments. I’m always looking for new things to try and love to hear others’ stories and suggestions.

Also, as always, if you’d like to purchase any prints or maybe a phone case or mug with my photography on it check out the links in the “Prints and Gear” section. If you don’t see a photo on one of the sites just let me know and I’ll add it ASAP. There are also paid links to particular gear, or you can help support the page and continued travels by using the Amazon banner on most pages, which is also a paid link. I thank you for the support and wish you all the absolute best!

Feedback is appreciated... let me know what you're liking, or not to help me keep improving the experience.
