Being that I’d been here on a couple of day trips when in Rawai this was more of a getaway for me to think about my next moves. Naiharn Beach is beautiful and the lake is great, I highly recommend checking the area out.

This was a 10-night stay…

• Getting around locally – $0
• Living expenses; food and groceries – $184.64
• Activities – $0
• Mobile phone/data  – $40.04
• Medical insurance = $39.16**

Total $444.54 / 10 nights = $44.45 per

Transportation to and from varies too much, so I’ve left it out along with most incidental/one-time personal costs; in this case, I took the local bus for about US$1.61 from Phuket Town. All other standard day to day expenses are included to give an idea of how much things cost in the area. So groceries will sometimes include basic personal care items (i.e. toothpaste, deodorant, contact solution/drops, etc.).

• All 10 nights were at the Naiharn Beach Resort (rooms were less expensive than usual during my stay)

**I’ve paid for 180 days of medical insurance coverage in Thailand and am breaking it out per day here. When I leave I will come back to adjust these posts for actual costs based on the number of days I stay in the country.
